Dr. Imam Rashid Hussein Salwat, Sheihu Salawatia (Qutub Zaman) was born in 1950 Tamale, Ghana. [1]
He had his formal education as well as his Islamic education in Ghana and then proceeded to further his education at the University of Algeria where he studied Islam (Usuuli Deen) and Arabic. After graduation, engaged in Islamic Da'wa (Propagation), activities.
He traveled to London and became briefly the Imam of Wimberly Mosque and Brixton Mosque respectively. He come back to Ghana and opened a nursery, primary school, junior high school which he is the proprietor.
Again, He established Herbal Clinic which has been rapidly promoted my the Ghana Health Service into a Hospital which he now operates in Accra. [6]
In 2003 He was ordained as the Sheihu of Salawatia at Rahamatullahi in Burkina Faso by Sheihu Abubakargi II ai ihu in Tariqatu Tijaniyya .
