editCustoms and Excise is one of the Revenue Departments in the Ministry of Finance[1] within the Government of Namibia. The other department is Inland Revenue.Customs and Excise administration in Namibia was formed after independence of Namibia in 1990.Namibia Customs and Excise is a member of Southern African Customs Union(SACU)[2]. The Commissioner of Customs and Excise head the Department and administer Customs and Excise Act,Act 20 of 1998. His office are based at 3rd Floor,Fiscus Building, John Meinert Road,Windhoek. Customs offices are found at all the entry/exit points in Namibia.
The core functions are:

- Facilitate trade
- To protect society with respect to the international movement of goods and people
- Implementing Trade and Industrial policies of Republic of Namibia
- Collaborate with other government Agencies and Ministries.
