SAMUEL A. ZACATE (born November 26, 1981) is a Filipino government official who serves as the Director General of the Food and Drug Administration (Philippines).
He was a university scholar and a proud graduate of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila - College of Medicine, where he earned his degree with distinction as the top 8th in his class. He has a diverse background, including medical practice, public advocacy, and government service. He has worked as a columnist, health advisory consultant, and a Medico-Legal and Forensics Consultant. He has also served 13 years in the Malacañang Palace - Presidential Security Group (PSG). Today, he holds the esteemed position of Director-General of the Food and Drug Administration-Philippines, committed to the improvement of government service delivery for the right to health of the Filipino people.
