Okashandja Combined School

Okashandja combined school is a missionary school that was established by the Finish Missionaries in 1937 in Oluno circuit, Oshana Region, Ondangwa, Namibia. It is approximately 8km south of Ondangwa. The school has played an important role in the history of Namibia’s education and liberation struggle. The school has produced one of the Namibian heroes Mr. Peter Enias Nanyemba the late Defence Secretary of People’s Liberation Army of Namibian Plan [1] . It is one of the oldest schools in this circuit. Okashandja combined is a missionary and church school of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Namibia.In 2008, the school decided to rename their laboratory to Mr. Andrew Niikondo, Head of Department Public Management at the Polytechnic of Namibia.The school has about 16 teachers, of which all are Namibians from all the corners of our country and they have about 460 students. It offer classes from grade 1 to grade 10, with one class from grade 1 to grade 5 and 2 classes from grade 6 to grade 10. It has 6 blocks, a library, and a tuck-shop.
