DipanjanMADPLAYHOUSE The "Mark at Alcoa" exception has never been formalized into policy; it emerged from this discussion. Basically the idea is that someone whose username makes clear that a) they're one individual and b) they have a conflict of interest with regards to one subject shouldn't be blocked for that username. Now, I see this user has been blocked for disruptive editing, so most of this discussion is moot. But regardless of the implications of his name, we don't block him for username purposes until and unless he makes edits that follow through on those implications. "Assume good faith" means we don't block people for what we think they're going to do in that circumstance. We block them for what they actually do. So your "sooner or later" doesn't matter. And, as we've seen, just because we decide against a username block does not in any way preclude a block for other policy violations by the same user. I was under the impression that if biographical information came from the actual subject of the article, it would scarcely need any further references to prove its authenticity - perhaps this is naive of me. It does seem strange that when the subject of an article "undoes" something that is unsatisfactory this can be described as "unnecessary use of the undo function". I am also puzzled that in the past highly malicious changes were made to the article by ill-intentioned people but were left in place - yet when I attempt to make a change it is immediately undone. The only reason behind my reversion of your contribution was "unsourced claims" which were unverifiable. In Wikipedia, verifiability means that people reading and editing the encyclopedia can check that the information comes from a reliable source. Wikipedians do try to remove vandalism as soon as it appears, specially on biographies, I am watching this page now and will try my best to restrict malicious editors to add any kind of defamatory stuffs to this article. I should point out that the same information is already contained in the website and CMC sources that are referenced in the first two footnotes - this could easily have been confirmed by clicking on those footnotes. I hope this will resolve the issues. We have noted that some of the people who maliciously made earlier changes have actually been subsequently blocked by Wikipedia. "Moldavia/Moldavian" was used before 1991 in English language as it was simply transliterated from the Russian "Молдавия" (Moldavia). Before 1991 Moldova was part of Russia/Russian Empire and all provincies carried the Russian names translisterated directly into English. Moldavia/Moldavian is no longer used in English language after the adoption of Moldova/Moldovan names after 1991 (break of Soviet Union and Moldovan Independence). If you look at the Federal Contractor misconduct database: http://www.contractormisconduct.org/index.cfm?sort=4, (the original source it is sorted by the size of the contractor. Lockheed Martin is listed as number 1 because it is the largest. If you sort on number of incidents, you will find it is third, and for the amount of fines, 21st. No need to re-resource - just sort the page. If a subject is notable and the content can be replaced with text that complies with neutral point of view, this is preferable to deletion. Note: An article about a company or a product which describes its subject from a neutral point of view does not qualify for this criterion. "Promotion" does not necessarily mean commercial promotion: anything can be promoted, including a person, a non-commercial organisation, a point of view, etc. See WP:NOTFORPROMOTION for the policy on this. I don't see how a site about pregnancy with no adds on it that is neutral on all view points, as per your rules as shown above can be breaking these rules. Please don't delete the page. I did not know that my article would be published right away. It was now deleted, and the deletion log is visible on the page with captions explaining why it was deleted. Since I made a mistake and did not know about using sandbox (and will be using sandbox from now on) can you please remove the deletion log and deletion caption from the page I was working on? Can the page go back to not existing until my sandbox draft gets approved? Thank you.
