Hilton Macdonald Hassell O.S.A. R.C.A. 1910-1980 Born near Lachine, Quebec. He studied at the Ontario College of Art under J.W. Beatty, J.E.H. MacDonald and F.H. Johnston. He studied in England under Hayward Veal at the Heatherleys School. He did graphic media for Brigden's Limited. He started full-time painting in 1955. Was art editor for MacLean's Magazine. He did solo shows at Eaton's Fine Art Galleries. He was a member of the Ontario Society of Artists and the the Royal Canadian Academy. Books L.M.
