editThis school is consider as the worst performing school in Omusati region as well as country wide.IN 2009 Junior secodary certificate JSC made an improvement where it succeded to have 50%. Furthemore last year 2011 Okanimekwa went down again and only few learners manage to pass. This school received many trophies on sport activities. The perfomance of this schoool is very poor and many learners are trying their best to pass . The cause of high failure resulted from long distance that many learners have to walk.futhermore during rainny seasons this however worsen up because learners have to walk in the water. The management is trying its best to Improve this school even though it might be not easy.the school was even given bicyles for learners but this does not help.
Activities
editThere are many activities at Okanimekwa sss. There are sport of all kinds socccer,vollleyball , basketball and netball. There are also clubs such as debate club,science club as well as history club.many leaners put theirselves on sport activities rather than studying.
