Gondal Jatt
Gondal Jat clan is found mainly in Sargodha, Mandi Baha-ud-Din, Faisal Abad, Jehlum, Chakwal districts of Pujab in Pakistan. They hold the upland known as the Gondal Bār, running up the centre of the tract between the Jhelum and Chenab. They are also numerous in the riverine on the right bank of the former river in the Jhelum district, and a few have spread eastward as far as the Ravi.
They are decedents of Ghanon, ninth in line from Prithvi Raj Chauhan, the last Hindu Jat of ruler of north India, and Ghanon accepted Islam at the hands of Baba Fareed Ganj Shakkar (R.A).
They are actively participating in almost every field of life now, Business, Civil service, Lawyers, Judges, but the agriculture is still their prime profession. They are also playing an important role in the politics of the country.
