Buffardi and Campel (2008) also alleged that Instagram offers “a gateway for self-promotion via self-descriptions, vanity via photos, and a large amount of shallow relationships” However, Buffardi and Campell (2008) later said that the large number of users suggests the general psychology of the members is normative.
