Nigerian-Belgian Chamber of Commerce and Industries

The Nigerian Belgian Chamber of Commerce was created and duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in Abuja. It’s a bilateral Chamber of Commerce and a non-profit making organization.

It’s aim and objectives are to promote business between Nigeria and Belgium by creating a platform and a environment to support services and lucrative business.

The Chamber’s responsibilities are as follows;

Bridge the gap between Nigerian and Belgian businessmen, create confidence in each other Organize Luncheons Organize Breakfast meetings Arrange visits to International Exhibitions Plan Trade Missions Assist in useful information to create business

The first group of prominent Nigerians on the Board of NBCC were: Ambassador Olufemi Ani, Otunba Kunle Ogunade, Aare (Dr.) Kola Adegbola, Mr. J. B. Okele, Mrs. O. A. Ayeni, Mr. Gbenga Oyebode. In 2009 under the leadership President, Mr. Gbenga Oyebode; the Chamber started it’s collaboration with the Nigerian Belgian Commercial Information and Documentation Center.

Mrs. Paulette Van Trier, a Belgian national, the founder and Managing Trustee of NBCIDC and her team have been promoting with the Chamber and the Center, working as from the same office.

She successfully put together a NEW Board for the Chamber in the November 2014 with professionals across different Nigerian business sectors.

The Nigerian Belgian Chamber of Commerce (in abbreviation NBCC) was formed by a group of Prominent and Serious businessmen in Nigeria. Their collective aim and objective is to bridge the gap of doing business with the Belgian communities as well as to promote, protect the image of both countries and create a conducive business environment for discussions.

The Nigerian-Belgian Commercial Information and Documentation Center (NBCIDC) was incorporated on the 21st of February 2002 as a non-profit organization (NGO) with the objective of promoting business between Nigeria and Belgium, through information, advise, consulting and networking.

Prior to the formal registration, the founder of the Center, Mrs. Paulette Van Trier has on an ad-hoc basis been promoting businesses between Nigeria and Belgium since 1997.

NBCIDC provides all links for businesses and institutions in both countries; gives as well as relevant information to facilitate investment and business decisions, leading to business start-ups and expansion.

Since 2009 till date, NBCC and NBCIDC have been collaborated and working out of the same office under the leadership of Mr. Paulette Van Trier.
