editStrain 138 was a deadly virus that if let out it could have destroyed 93% of the worlds population which includes normal humans and enchanced humans aswell.The virus was created by Victoria Pratt, one of twelve co-founders of The Company, she was under orders to develop the Strain 138. She created Strain 138 from another virus called the Shanti Virus, the inhabitent of the virus was Shanti Suresh who was Mohinder Suresh's sister and Chandra Suresh's daughter.Victoria Pratt managed to turn the virus into a weapon by doing all kinds of experiments on the Shanti Virus.Although The Company realised that the Strain 138 was too dangerous when in 1977 Adam Monroe tried to let out the virus after he had tried to cleanse the world for over 300 years, he finally decided that humanity had to start all over again so he tried to kill 93% of the earth's population.Victoria managed to stop Adam from taking the virus and then made it clear to Kaito Nakamura that she wanted the Strain 138 destroyed.Kaito decided against destroying it and instead decided to have it locked up in one of The Company facilities in Odessa situated in Texas.Adan Monroe was locked away in one of the many Company facilities.30 years later Adam Monroe manages to escape from the facilitie using Peter's abilities.He then convinces Peter that he is the good guy and is trying to destroy the virus, when in actual fact he is trying to let it out.They go round to Victoria Pratt's house and they get her to tell them the location of the Strain 138.Victoria explains that Adam tried to let out the virus, but Peter takes no notice and when she points a gun at Peter's head, Adam shoots her. They arive in Odessa in Texas, and go to Primatech Paper which is The Company's disguise buisness.On the way to the safe that contains the virus.Hiro Nakamura tries to stop the two of them, he also tries to convince Peter that Adam is the villain but fails and when he attempts to kill Adam Peter defends him by blasting Hiro with a thunderbolt that knocks him unconscious on the ground.The two of head towards the safe and Peter eventually manages to open the safe door.Adam walks in to the safe while Peter waits outside.Peter then encounters Matt Parkman who tries to stop him, but he is easily brushed aside by Peter's powers.Then his own brother comes on to the scene Nathan Petrelli and he finally manages to convince Peter that Adam is the real villain.Meanwhile Adam picks up the virus, when all of a sudden Hiro arrives again inside the safe and teleports Adam away with him not knowing that Adam has the virus in his hands. The virus Strain 138 is just about to fall to the ground when Peter rushes into the safe and manages to catch the virus just before it falls to the ground.Matt, Nathan and Peter all agree that it needs to be destroyed, so Peter then destroys the virus Strain 138 using radiation to destroy it into atoms.
