Hans Galesloot (Nederhorst den Berg, 1953) is a Dutch author and screenwriter.

Galesloot studied social sciences at the University of Amsterdam. He worked during his studies as film editor at Chanowski Productions. After finishing his studies in the Netherlands, he left in the early eighties the Netherlands. He followed in the United States several screenwriter programs in San Francisco and at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. Back in the Netherlands Galesloot became particularly known as a screenwriter. He wrote the script for the 100 hour long television show Medical Center West. The television ratings for this series have never been equaled during the period 1988-1994 or thereafter by another series. The first season 4.5 million viewers watched in combination with a half-million Flemish viewers. MCW is also released in novel form. The TV series was added in 2013 to the Dutch television canon. On December 27, 2013 was on public broadcaster NPO 1 a documentary: 'What is the secret of MCW?' broadcasted as TV monument.

During the years 1993-2000 Galesloot wrote a German medical drama long-form tv-series Stadtklinik which aired in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, the so-called G.A.S countries, namely Germany, Austria and Swiss. In Germany watched weekly by 6 million viewers. Each episode has been watched in the G.A.S. countries by an average of 9 million viewers. 160 episodes of this series have been produced. Per season 26 episodes were broadcasted.
