Article About Oshikango
Oshikango is a small town situated at the northern part of Namibia near the bothers of Namibia and Angola. Although in the early 90s it was a very small town it is growing rapidly. The population is growing big everyday as many Angolans come to do their business which include buying of stocks because there are large warehouses in Oshikango, which leads to the town being overclouded, many Namibian also also visit the town for different reasons. The crime rate and prostitution is very high in this town as unemployment is still high in Namibia and some Angolans also come to this town to look for jobs, although the Namibian government allocated armed policeman to protect citizens, the crime rate is still high as the possibility of corruption is still high in the country. The towns infrastructure is good because new buildings are build every year as multinational companies are also settling in oshikango in other to sell their products.
Lots of people that live close the town are complaining because they relocated from their lands/homes as the town is expanding and the municipality is selling lands to wealthy business mans, another problem is that the town only have one main road for going in or out which leads to high traffic conjunction. Lets hope this town changes to a more better and clean town so it can attract customer and tourists,for the Namibian economy to increase.
