About Me edit
(My old account was Pancakebatfish which was also the name of the first Wikipedia article I started!)
I am a nutritional epidemiologist by training. This year, I am starting as an assistant professor in the Department of International Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. I care deeply about health equity and believe the spirits of Wikipedia is very much in line with my goals in health research. My first Wikimania attendance was in 2006 and after over a decade, I continue to *love* the Wikimedia community and projects.
I speak and write in Japanese and English. I'm a member of the Cascadia Wikipedia group!
