Ellen Degeneres is an American comedian, TV host, writer and producer for her own shows. The show "Ellen" was her own sitcom show that aired in 1994 to 1998 and since then, she has hosted her well know talk show called The Ellen Degeneres show. She is very well known and loved in the LGBTQ community. On her sitcom show Ellen, she came out as lesbian in 1994.

Ellen is well known for her comedy skills, but not known for her love of wildlife. Ellen has stated before on her show that her childhood hero was Dian Fossey, who studied about gorillas and then got murdered. On Ellen's 60th birthday episode on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show", her wife Portia de Rossie, surprised her with a gift Ellen would remember for her life. Her wife gave her the Ellen DeGeneres Wildlife Fund, which established a guarantee home for the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund that Ellen has always donated money to.
The Ellen Fund has made the Dian Fossy fund even better by creating a campus called The Ellen Degeneres Campus, which you can go visit today. The campus has 11 acers to the Volcano National Park that is located in northern Rwanda. Has one of the best architecture and practices. The campus has many laboratories, libraries, and meetings for large groups. The tourists that visit this campus can do an interactive exhibit that is located in the campus as well. This exhibit focuses on Dian Fossey's story on the mountain gorillas in Rwanda. Many can also look at the range of indoor and outdoor classrooms that are located in the campus.
