The fire of the supermarket Ycuá Bolaños is the civil tragedy bigger sucedida in Paraguay; occurred the Sunday 1 August 2004 in the main city Assumption. The Sunday, 1 August 2004, roughly to the 11:25 of the midday (local hour) produced two big explosions to the interior of the commercial enclosure that housed, between several things, the supermarket, a parking for vehicles, commercial offices and a restaurant. In the kitchens of this last place there was an explosion that caused a gigantic fire.
