Our desire is to create environments that enhance the opportunities to lead students into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. All of the elements and logistics of our events are geared to that end. The people who lead our camps are balanced, gifted people who have a history of character and integrity.[4]

Local News (Panama City Beach, FL)

edit

As a result of the flock of youth entering the city of Panama City Beach, Florida in the summer of 2008, news reporters took notice. Embedded in The News Herald of Panama City Beach, one can find a by-stander's description of the events that took place that summer.[6] According to John McDonald, author of the article, more than 18,000 young people came to the Boardwalk Beach Resort Hotel that summer and came from quite a distance such as the states of Pennsylvania and Wyoming.[7] Kids who attend this camp not only get to experience worship, but they also get to relax by spending time on the beach and playing such activities as volleyball, frisbee, and basketball with other kids and adults from other churches.[8]

Local News (Daytona Beach, FL)

edit

Just like the Boardwalk Beach Resort Hotel in Panama City Beach, the Volusia County Ocean Center in Daytona Beach is also familiar to housing thousands of students for Bigstuf. This year was the 3rd year that Bigstuf used the Ocean Center to accommodate all of the living requirements. The Volusia County Ocean Center staff is not new to this kind of crowd due to the many other programs that the center hosts. These programs include the Student Life Student Conference, National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) Cheer and Dance Camp, and New Spring Church's Gauntlet event.[9]
