Grove1 is my nom de plume for Wikipedia.
I am an consultant working throughout Central and Eastern Europe on Public Sector Reform, particularly on anything that relates to Local Government. I am a US citizen and have lived for many years in a suburb of Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to taking up work as a consultant I had a career with Massachusetts state and local governments. Professionaly I am interested in the history, politics and geography of Central and Eastern Europe. My personal interests include US politics, historical works - both fiction and non fiction. I also like sailing and own a small full keel sailboat, a Cape Dory 25D. This is an eight meter boat with a full keel. I keep it in Mattapoisett, MA - near New Bedford. Also I am a conservative do-it-your-self investor. I enjoy good but not expensive wine, good food, and great conversation.
Currently I am in my second year working in Kosovo. I am Resident Advisor to the secondary municipality of Gjilan (Albanian) or Gnjilane (Serbian)which has a population of about 130,000. About 90,000 of these are in the centertown and the rest are scattered in 40 or so villages. My current work is funded by the United States Agency for International Development.
I have two adult sons, both University graduates who are employed.
