Elina Kirovane (born December 25, 1993) is an actress. She is best known for playing school girl in The Twilight Saga.

Early life

Kirovane was born and raised in Latvia.[1][2][3] Her father, John Kirovan, is a manager.[4] Her mother, Gunta Kirovane, works as a manager too. She don't have an older brother.[8][9] Kirovane finished studying Ilmārs Gaiss Koknese High School, where studied for nine years and then went to study in Rezekne Art and design High School. Now she combines this training with acting.

Career

Her whole family all worked in one business, and Kirovane thought she would become a writer of short, but never considered being an actor. "I never wanted to be the center of attention" [11] Elina's acting career began at the age of 15, after visited her friend.[12] After a year of auditioning, Kirovane's first role was a nonspeaking part in the film Twilight.[4] Then, she had another part in the film Snow White and the Huntsman as the "warrior girl".[4] [13] It was revealed that at about this time in her career, she had to be homeschooled due to her irregular schedule, which was affecting her grades. She said, "I started homeschooling because my teachers were failing me. But homeschooling is great; you can study what you want, which allows you to get more excited about what you're doing".[13]

On June 10, 2007, Summit Entertainment announced that Elina would play Monica in the film Twilight, based on Stephenie Meyer's bestselling vampire romance novel.[23]

Personal life

Kirovane currently lives in Koknese, Latvia. She has expressed a desire to live and work in England, saying, "I want to go to University in England. My friend's from there.[43] Apart from acting, she is also interested in attending college in the near future, saying, "I want to go to college for literature. I want to be a writer of short. I mean, I love what I do, but it's not all I want to do – be a professional liar for the rest of my life."[44]
