Cemitério do 14 (Cemetery of 14)
editThe Cemetery of 14 is situated along N’Gola Kiluange avenue in Luanda. It is more or less between Mercado Dos Kwanza Kwanza Market) and Praça do Kikolo (Kikolo Market), and opposite the Glass Factory of Kikolo. It is a beautiful place and very well organized. It is guarded 24/7 in order to maintain order and tranquility for those who lay and rest there.[1]
Outside the cemetery is a wide open area where young people spend their time. Some go to the open area to roller skate, while others go there to do some physical exercises and other to play basket ball. One can ask permission of the area’s management in order to organize and event in the open space.
It is kept clean in the following manner; every morning, ladies employed by the Government swipe the place and keep it clean. Anyone is welcome to spend time in that area as you will find tuck shops and much more. The population living there is very friendly and accommodating.[2]
