Instructions for Posting Answers

Simple! Just copy the template below, and paste it at the bottom of this page with your own details filled out. What we are looking for is a link to the Wikipedia page which answers the question best. For example, if the first question was "This man is the current President of the United States of America", you would post

  1. George W. Bush - I searched Wikipedia using the Wikipedia search function for "United States of America" and saw in the caption to the picture in this subsection that George W. Bush is the president.

If you already know the answer to the question you must post a way to find it on Wikipedia. You do not need to post all the grunt work and all the failed efforts at finding this information; only post the path you took that directly led you to the answer you believe to be correct. Also do NOT edit anyone else's answers. I will be checking the History of this page frequently, so don't even bother. Here is the template.   1. Dale County, Alabama? - Googled site:en.wikipedia.org Alabama counties, clicked on List of counties in Alabama. Googled site:en.wikipedia.org pickled fruit and clicked on Pickling and then pickle which lists the Dill pickle.
  2. Mohammed Daoud Khan - Clicked on the Daouds Republic of Afghanistan link in the question, clicked on Mohammed Daoud Khan to check the birth year.

  4. Naropa University - Googled site:en.wikipedia.org Colorado Buddhist university 1974 and the first hit was Naropa University.
  5. PZL-130 Orlik - Googled site:en.wikipedia.org Polish aircraft 1984 (first thought it was the PZL M-28), 1984 in aviation links to the PZL-130 Orlik.
  1. Pickens County, Alabama? - [1] Pickens sounds like pickles.
  2. Mohammed Daoud Khan? - [2] I looked up the year 1909 and did a births search to find this answer.
  1. Marengo County, Alabama? - went to article Pickling, looked under heading of other popularly pickled items, looked at the list of fruits and found Mango among them, looked at Alabama counties and checked if any of them sounded like any fruits on the page, and "Merengo" sounded like "Mango"
  2. Mohammed Daoud Khan - Clicked on the Daouds Republic of Afghanistan link in the question, clicked on Mohammed Daoud Khan, saw when he was born
  3. London United Basketball and Thomas Coke (bishop) - Went to Wikipedia page BBL, the only thing on that disambig page that was a basketball league was British Basketball League, looked at current teams, the only one with those initials was London United Basketball. Kept that page open and opened a new tab in Firefox and used google to get to here: [3] The first page listed after the one for this game was Thomas Coke (bishop), which says that Thomas Coke was overweight, and the London United Basketball page confirmed that the team had a player named Tom.
  4. Naropa University - Googled site:en.wikipedia.org Colorado Buddhist university 1974 and the first hit was Naropa University.
  5. PZL-130 Orlik - Googled site:en.wikipedia.org Polish aircraft 1984 (first thought it was the PZL M-28), 1984 in aviation links to the PZL-130 Orlik.
  1. This Alabama county's name sounds rather like a popular pickled fruit.

-Either Pickens County Searched in Wikipedia for Alabama COunties and came up with List of counties in Alabama. Also did a search on Yahoo for "pickled fruit wikipedia" an came up with Pickled cucumber. Looked at the list and saw Pickens County and really, like the one before me said, sounds like Pickles. Then clicked on pickled on the Cucumber article which redirected me to Pickling and sa that Pickled fruits include: mango, green chili, lemons, achara, papaya, peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, zucchini, egg plants and sauerkraut, melons, olives, okra and chiles. So, I looked at the list of counties again. But really, could not find anythign better than Pickens.

  1. This basketball player played on the league whose initials are BBL on the team whose initials are LU. He shares his first name with popular overweight bishop.

-Santa Ataha??? and London United Basketball looked for BBL - Clicked on Disambigution on Wikipedia. Found British Basketball League. The only team with initials LU are London United. Looked at the list of players an found Santa. Looked for Santa Claus in Wikipedia and then clicked on [[Saint Nicholas.

-PZL-130 Orlik - I googled (actually Yahoo, since that is what I use) the terms: "wikipedia first prototype of this Polish military trainer aircraft flew in October of 1984."
