Hello! I’m a frequent reader, and I most often edit articles to fix minor grammatical errors. I’ll also reword complex and confusing statements to increase readability (e.g., fix and clarify dangling participles, reword passive phrases to active, etc.). Occasionally, I’ll get particularly involved and will edit intra-paragraph text for cohesiveness such as by adding prepositions/transitional statements to link sentences—again, for readability. I also tend to ensure that paraphrased citations are true to the source, particularly focusing on word choice and phrasing—because even a single word or very short restatement of the original source—can drastically change the source’s (original author’s) intended message: in turn, this unintentionally changes the citation’s meaning to a lay-reader and misguides the reader’s understanding.

I enjoy travel, aviation, biomedicine (and more)! I have an extensive professional background in these fields, including copyediting of professional scientific texts and ‘translating’ such texts into digestible content for lay-readers. Accordingly, you’re likely to find most of my edits on pages of these categories.

Leave me a note if you have advice, questions or comments! As a newer editor-contributor, I’m open to *kind* feedback, and I welcome *courteous* guidance. N.b.: As of yet, I particularly struggle grasping how to add/edit citations! :-/
