Ivodent Academy
editIvodent Academy (Albanian: Akademia Ivodent) is an Albanian accredited higher institution specializing in the field of Dental Technology.[1] Ivodent Academy was opened first in September 2003 as a school for dental technicians. It was the result of cooperation between the “IVOCLAR VIVADENT AG” (Liechtenstein), “BEGO” (Germany), “ALFADENT” (Belgium) and their exclusive dealer in Albania “DORINA MELE”. The Academy is accredited[2] from the Ministry of Education and Science of Albania. It offers the Bachelor Degree for dental technicians in the field of “Dental Technology” after a three years study, a two-year Professional Program in "Dental Techniques" and a Professional Master in "Digital Dental Techniques".[3]
This diploma is the only criteria the students must fulfill to get their professional license and open the own laboratory in Albania. The teaching process is organized in accordance with the Bologna Convention in three years (six semesters). The laboratories of the college are equipped with up to date apparatuses and devices respecting the standards of the training centers of the companies in their home countries.[4] They are also certified from the inner certification body of “BEGO” and “IVOCLAR VIVADENT AG” and known as training centers of the companies for our dental technicians.[5]
