In the far there is a place called Okauua. Okauua is village situated in Otjinene Constituency, this constituency is situated north of Gobabis which is the capital of Omaheke Region in the eastern part of the Republic of Namibia .This village is a home to more than 20 households of which most of them are Herero people and a little group of the San communities. As the region [1] is known for cattle farming activities most of the people in Okauua are cattle farmers. Goats and sheep are also some of the livestock people in that village keep. Some people also do crops although that is only seasonal because of the rain conditions in Namibia. People in this village get their water from borehole using machines to extract it from the ground.Okauua is the village very close to the village were the late chief of the Maharero Loyal Traditional Authority used to live.Chief Maharero died 27 April 2012 after a short illness[2].Chief Alphons Maharero was a grand son of the late chief Samuel Maharero who led the Ovaherero war of resistance against the German colonial occupational of the former South West Africa which we know as Namibia today.
