Okavugu

Okavugu village is situated at northern part of Namibia in Oshikoto region. as approaching from the south on the Tsumeb-Oshakati B1 tarmac, 8km before Ondangwa look out for a sign post to the left hand side of the road indicading a turn off to the left. The sign indicate Olukonda (D3629) than you have to follow the gravel road 9km than You will find a village called Okavugu.

Within the village, people use to cultivate mahangu and herd livestock. In addition to that, there is development which is taking place, because there is now clean water and electricity available. Near Okavugu there is well known museum named Nakambale Museum.[1]

Its well control by the Ondonga traditional authority[2],since its near by king Kauluma's house. The only challenge is that, there is no tarred road that's why sedan cars struggle to reach the village. Another thing is that, the village experience flood during rainy season, as a result they experience poor productivity and livestock.

Finally, its a very good village which is close to town and secondary school.
