History

edit

Jack Lazarus was born in London, England into a wrestling family as his father was a wrestler and his mother was a manager. The second of three children, who all would follow in their father's footsteps and become wrestlers. Lazarus debuted on the indies in 2004. He stayed on the indies for a few years before signing British Wrestling Collective (BWC) in late 2006. Lazarus biggest title win came in 2010 when he would win the BWC World Championship. After losing the title in early 2011 he would turn face for the first time and win the BWC Tag Team titles with longtime friend Cameron Bate. After a few months as a face, they would lose the titles and he would attack Bate, thus turning heel once again. He would then win the Tag Titles again on four different occasions with different partners as a heel before winning the World title. By his last years Lazarus was a multi time champion and was the face of the promotion. After having nothing else to do in BWC, Lazarus would leave the promotion to travel to America. His high-class heel character and his wrestling skill got him over in BWC which he would transition into when he signed with Dynamite Wrestling Promotion (DWP) in 2014.

Dynamite Wrestling Promotion

edit

When Lazarus signed with DWP he was instantly catapulted to the top of the company and won the DWP World Championship in his debut match against Matt Pearce. After a year with the title, he would drop it to Arik Kolbow. After losing the title, he was dropped to the midcard division to help elevate up and comers in DWP. He would eventually defeat Matt Pearce to win the DWP Television Championship in late 2015. He would have good matches with the younger wrestlers helping elevate them higher in the card before dropping the title to Hammerschmidt in early 2016.

Formation of The Sensation Six

edit

In August of 2016, he would defeat Stone Cassidy to win the world title for a second time and in early November, Lazarus would recruit a team in order to help him defend the title and keep his reign long. The first of these members would be Elijah Croy followed by Hammerschmidt, Tyson Oakley, Austin Awesome and Angelica Michaels. During his reign Lazarus and Hammerschmidt would win the DWP Tag Team Championship, making Lazarus a double champion and making him the second triple crown champion. In April of 2017, Stone Cassidy would make his return from injury, aligning himself back with Jack Lazarus (who had turned heel) and the rest of The Sensational Six cementing himself still as a heel. They would drop the tag titles to Superkick Squad (Mason and Nate Dandridge) after a masked attacker attacked Hammerschmidt from behind injuring him leaving Lazarus to defend the titles by himself. Not knowing who the perpetrator was, tensions would begin to boil between The Sensational Six. Ultimately it was revealed that Cassidy was the masked attacker who had cost them the tag team titles, consequently removing him from the group. Cassidy would state that the reason for his attack was that he never forgot or forgave Lazarus for putting him out of action and taking his title. Wanting to hurt Lazarus he figured the best way was to join his stable and gain his trust before ultimately betraying him. The two would start a heated rivalry ending with a grueling Barbed Wire match where Cassidy would come out on top and win the title, subsequently ending the feud.

Feud with Aisuke Igarashi

edit

Lazarus would enter a feud with Aisuke Igarashi and would win the world title for a third time. They would go on to have classic matches with each other with Lazarus coming out on top, winning the feud. Almost a year later Lazarus and Igarashi would reignite their feud when Igarashi won a battle royal to determine the #1 contender for the world title. They would have more high rated matches (their Extreme Barbed Wire match having a 5-star rating). At The Clash, Lazarus would drop the belt to Igarashi, before winning it back, then dropping it back again, ending the feud.

Creation of World Domination

edit

After Lazarus real life friend Cameron Bash had signed with DWP in November 2021, he and Bash quickly became a tag team. They would go on to win the tag team championship at Infinite Aggression. After 1-month as champion, Lazarus would suffer an injury that would take him out of action for over a year. A week later Bash announced that he would find a new tag team partner to challenge for the tag team titles. The next week that partner was announced to be Danny Kanyon subsequently adding Kanyon as a part of the group. Bash and Kanyon would compete in a 9-team battle royal at Chasing Gold for the vacant tag team titles, in which they would win. On the same night Chris Jackson had lost his match for the DWP World Championship (during their tag team reign they had been trying to convince Chris Jackson to join them, but he would always refuse). After finally being fed up with everything, Jackson would join Bash and Kanyon, turning heel in the process. Jackson would then win DWP TV Championship at The Feud with assistance from Bash and Kanyon. During the end of 2022, they would all lose their championships and end up splitting up.

Reunite, Trio's title win and breakup

edit

After a year out of action Lazarus would make his return at Vengeance by assisting Danny Kanyon in retaining the DWP World Champion. Lazarus would end up reforming the team and announced that they would be entering the DWP Trios tournament to become the first ever Trios champions. Lazarus, Bash and Jackson would enter and win the whole tournament becoming the first ever champions. After only 56 days they would lose the titles and tension would begin to boil until they eventually split up in September 2023.

3-way feud with Bash and Kanyon

edit

After splitting up Lazarus and Kanyon would start a feud for the DWP World Championship where Lazarus would win the title at Fightfest. After 5 months out of action, Cameron Bash would make his return at Infinite Aggression after Jack Lazarus had successfully defended his title. The next week on Melee, Bash revealed the reason for his injury was because of Jack Lazarus. Noting that Lazarus was not the only person he wanted to get his hands on, he then challenged Lazarus and Kanyon to a no rules match and promised to end them both. The match was made official and at Vengeance, Cameron Bash would defeat Lazarus and Kanyon at Vengeance to win the DWP World Championship.

Return to DWP

edit

Lazarus would take a leave of absence and would return on the July 4, 2025, episode of Wildcard this time with a new protege. They would then attack The Magnums from behind. The Magnums vs Lazarus and Johnson would be made official for The Feud with the formers coming out on top. Through the months Lazarus and Johnson would go on a winning streak until Final Fight when they would lose a 3-way tag team match for the Tag Team titles. They would then try to gain back their momentum which they were able to do until they received another title match on the February 13, 2026, episode of Wildcard against champions Ricky Babylon and Ben Reyes, in which where they were victorious. They would then lose the titles in a 4-way match at Vengeance to Stone Cassidy and Trace Morales. A month later they would go their separate ways.
