Krishna Prasad Subedi is a Canadian scholar in mathematics education who holds mathematics program coordinator at Alexander College, Vancouver, Canada.
Krishna was born and grew up in rural area (Madi) of Chitwan district in Nepal. He completed his bachelor and master’s degree program in mathematics from Tribhuvan University (Nepal); Master of Education (mathematics emphasis) from Endicott college (Massachusetts, USA.) and a Ph,D. (mathematics education) from Simon Fraser University (Canada) under the joint supervision of Prof. Rina Zazkis and Prof. Nathalie Sinclair.
Krishna began his teaching career in 1992 as a high school mathematics teacher in Kathmandu. He taught mathematics in different institutions including at national television channel (Nepal Television) where he served as a program producer and mathematics instructor for the math and science program aired daily by Nepal television in 1997. He then, worked as a founder principal at Eternal Light Public Higher Secondary School before moving to USA in 2005 as a visiting mathematics teacher at Colleton County Highschool, South Carolina. He then moved to Canada in 2008 for his doctoral degree program at Simon Fraser university from where he earned his Ph.D. (Mathematics Education) in 2014 and has been teaching mathematics in different college/ university in Vancouver, Canada.
