The Bresnahan-Raman War also known as the Attea War, the Bathroom War, Ramangate, Lockergate, Bathroomgate or Stallgate was an ethno-nationalist conflict that took place primarily at Attea Middle School from April 2014 to May 2017.

The conflict was based against John Bresnahan, an Attea student and then-boyfriend of Nina Raman and the administration of Attea Middle School and Raman's friends. The war began in April 2014 when Bruce Leinbach, Bresnahan and Raman's 6th grade social studies teacher alleged he saw Bresnahan breaking into Raman's locker and throwing the contents onto the floor. Bresnahan was jailed under his special education teacher and Iraq War refugee, Stella Ikhanna, who threatened Bresnahan with jail time if he were to be caught again. At the time, Ikhanna had been managing a separate case against Bresnahan where he had been accused of vandalizing a shared Google document in his English class. Bresnahan was released from Ikhanna's custody in June 2014 following his move to 7th grade.

In August 2014, Bresnahan and Raman were placed under the supervision of Nina Caputo. Bresnahan and Raman continued their relationship amidst a move that was made on him by Kathleen Zeivel, his locker neighbor. Around this time, Raman's friends, mostly male, formed a coalition against Bresnahan, alleging that he had sexually assaulted her. These claims were brought forward to Caputo, who ordered Bresnahan not to have contact with Raman. Raman, although discouraging her friends from doing this, ultimately did not end her friendship with them. She was subsequently switched out of their classes. He retaliated in Spring 2015 by drawing a hairy black man with an enlarged penis on a school issued iPad. When questioned, Bresnahan denied responsibility, he later claimed he was subjected to unreasonable questioning by Hannah Groenendyk. Caputo also investigated Bresnahan several times for sexual harassment and assault, including reprimanding Bresnahan after he motioned his female seatmate's arm down that was encroaching on his desk.

Attacks and threats by both parties continued through 2015 and 2016, however, the school remained its position of having Bresnahan and Raman separated, despite both continuing to see each other. Following graduation in June 2016, Bresnahan went to Glenbrook South High School, where the conflict largely subsided until May 2017, when Bresnahan punched Nathan Brodkin, one of Raman's friends, in the face after according to Bresnahan, he went through his bag. In 2021, Bresnahan admitted this story was false and he attacked Brodkin because he felt like it.

In 2017, Raman moved to Irvine, CA. Shortly after she moved, Nina Caputo, who ordered Bresnahan not to have conflict, visited Raman, sparking outrage from Bresnahan as Caputo clearly stacked the deck against him. The two continued a long distance relationship until fall 2018, when both decided to go their separate ways.
