34 miles is a village found in the Caprivi 64 kilometers East of Katima MuliloTowards Ngoma Boarder Post. The Village was formed by the Sikopo family in 1981. The family migrated from old lusese due to floods and decided to settle there, people from this village survived mainly on game meat and other indigenous food found in the area. This village is well known by people as a village that has produced several academics from local varsities and colleges. Many young people still serve as good examples as they continue to emulate their fathers' role in the field of education; this is attributed to the fact that more graduates are produced continuously. Sikopo is a lozi name which is directly translated into English as 'Four Head' This village is the place where the current director in the Ministry of Environment and Tourism Mr Colgar Sikopo hails from. adding to this his elder brother, the director in the Ministry of lands and ressettlement Mr Alfred Sikopo comes from village.The family survive mainly on small-scale farming due to the dry vegetation of the area; however, during rainy season the area has a vast amount of earth dams which attracts wild spinachs and bids that provides the community with vegetables. 34 miles village is a well-known destination for people who enjoy jokes, as there is a self-proclaimed comedian well known by Ba Sha-Sinvula. This man is a retired principal with a very good sense of humour and can keep people entertained as village people relax in their traditional.
