The Dooly State Prison (DSP) is a medium security state prison facility located Unadilla, Georgia. The complex began its construction in 1993 and opened in 1994. The facility houses male inmates who are not suitable for a county prison due to their offense or physical limitations. It is mainly for It can house up to 1702 prisoners. Prisoners are kept in dorms that are triple bunks, double bunks, and some single beds. It also has a separate unit for inmates that are troublesome, reckless, and threats to the security of the prison[1].

Dooly State Prison have many different types of programs to help inmates. Also, certain inmates are given the opportunity to participate in various activities. Some activities include working on the farm (it has a fully operational farm that produces fresh vegetables for shipping to state facilities), recycling center, firefighter, maintenance, and painter. It also provides educational services in which some prisoner can get their GED. It also provides medical, counseling, recreation, library, chapel, and general work programs for all inmates assigned[2].
