Renato Fernandes Corrêa[1] is a Brazilian Professor. He received the B.S. degree in Computer Science in 2000 from Federal University of Viçosa, Brazil. He received the M.S. degree in Computer Science in 2002 from Federal University of Pernambuco, Brazil. He was a Ph.D. student in Center of Informatics at Federal University of Pernambuco, and received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science in 2008 from Federal University of Pernambuco, Brazil.

From 2002 to 2007, he was a Visiting Professor in Polytechnic School at University of Pernambuco, Brazil.

Currently, he is a Professor in Information Science Departament at Federal University of Pernambuco.

His research interests include artificial neural networks, text mining and information retrieval.
