I'm very interested in Third Sector and Social Capital; indeed, still struggling to complete my dissertation on that :-(

Worked in the Sector for 35 years now, and currently in an 'Infrastructure Organisation' providing support, etc., services for other Third Sector organisations.

Concerned that over-professionalisation of Third Sector organisations can lead to detraction from core aims, but wouldn't deride 'professional' in terms of work or attitude or services.

Question: If the Public Sector wants the Third Sector to become more 'professional' and provide the same services, same standards, and so on, where does the Third Sector go?
