Eyal Raviv is the founder of MEPEACE - a network for peace with thousands of peacemakers and millions of page visits on mepeace.org.

Eyal was raised in Tel Aviv and Los Angeles. After leaving home for New York at age 16, Eyal studied at Yeshivat Hakotel, Yeshiva University, and the London School of Economics. He has traveled to more than 35 countries.

In 2004, Eyal moved to Israel and studied web design and Arabic. During the second war in Lebanon, Eyal dedicated himself to Middle East peace. Eyal conceived a network for peacemakers and designed mepeace.org to bring together people who believe in peace. After a quarter million page visits online, he and other MEPEACE leaders created Peace Cafes and Peace Talks events on the ground.

MEPEACE empowers people and organizations with interaction, information and inspiration and enables a movement for peace. The Israeli media called MEPEACE "The Facebook of Peace" because it works like Facebook while dedicated to peace. MEPEACE represents Middle East peace and combines "me" and "peace" - it starts with each of us. Eyal now leads a non-profit organization to sustain the work of MEPEACE. He provides technology consulting to other organizations and presents his work at conferences, workshops, universities, and through media in Israel and abroad. In a 2010 op-ed, he makes the case that "with new media - we are the media".

Eyal recently completed his Masters studies in conflict management and resolution at Ben Gurion University. You can reach him directly at eyal@mepeace.org.
