Hello. Welcome to my user page. I am Everlong Day, and I am from the United Kingdom.

While not knew to writing papers and articles, I am new to contributing stuff to Wikipedia. My skills fall into two broad areas. Firstly, I can write on subjects that interest me (which can be on any subject that I have confidence to write on), but secondly, I like to look for citations where articles lack them; it comes from having worked for a number of years in my graduate school library, not only looking for information for myself, but for the students at the school.

Oh, and if I find a mistake on a page, if possible, I will try to fix it.

At the moment, I am doing small edits -- yes, I have done one large job -- to make sure that I understand how particular types of edit work on real pages. Yes I have the sandbox, but I think that once you think you have understood something, it is a good idea to try things out. How do named references work? What happens when you add a reference to something that has been referenced later in the article? I found out by actually doing it. Now I am trying to find out how to deal with making an article on a Subject in which the name of the subject has an asterisk in it. It is not easy to find the relevant section on this.

So, I chickened out, and just used a blank space. Anyway, I am getting the hang of the various types of edit, and of trying to sort out problems. But, there does seem to be a lot of stuff that seems odd to put in an encyclopedia.

At the moment, I seem to be working on three articles, with the disocvery of odds and ends of other things, like the fact that Clarence Birdseye ran a fox 'farm' in Canada.
