JOI-Design GmbH Innenarchitekten was founded in Hamburg in 1984 by Peter Joehnk, who, alongside Corinna Kretschmar, has cultivated the practice into one of Europe’s most respected leaders in hospitality design. Twenty-five years experience has led to a firm belief that design is the hotelier’s best marketing tool. This principle manifests itself in a genuine interest in the art, architecture and social inheritance of the location which is ingeniously woven into the interior character of each project. JOI-Design’s diverse four and five-star projects encompass modern airport and business new-builds, grand historic establishments, restaurants and spas for many of the major hotel brands, as well as independent properties, across the continent.
Current/recent projects include: Dolce Hotel, Munich; Le Méridien Grand Hotel, Nuremberg; Le Méridien Parkhotel, Frankfurt; Grand Hotel, Vienna; Radisson Blu, Hamburg Airport; Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn, Frankfurt Airport; Steigenberger hotel, Treudelberg; Steigenberger Grandhotel Heringsdorf, Usedom, Germany; Hotel Gendarm nouveau, Berlin; Park Inn Krakow; Park Inn Linz, Austria; Lindner Park-Hotel Hagenbeck, Hamburg; TUI Hotel, Kaluga, Russia; and Robinson Club Fleesensee in Germany’s Müritz National Park.
