User:Eridian314/The daily life of a Wikipedian

One of the things I'm eager to show to people is my edit count on Wikipedia. Usually, they're impressed. After all, being a Wikipedian can be tedious. Really tedious. I will document a day of wikipedia editing, to show what it's like to be a Wikipedia editor.

  • Already reverted an edit. Someone changed programmable logic controller to "popcorn licking cat". Not going to lie, it's kinda funny.
  • Someone claimed that a deformed skull came from aliens.
  • Some ip user got mad that their edits got reverted. In their words: "I didn't improve it! Damn sure better hadnt! Get off and out of my phone! It's an invasion of rights and privacy!!"
  • I decided to take a break from recent changes patrolling. I saw an article with a bit too much citations. I don't know about you, but 12 citations for a single word seems excessive.
  • I tried to add a citation to something, only to figure out the source is blacklisted. I did some searching, and that site was WAY sketchier than it looked like. Luckily, it isn't one of those identity-stealing ones.
  • The best source for entertainment on Wikipedia is ANI. The Department Of Fun simply describes this as *Grabs popcorn* . It's fun watching people overreact about small things.
  • I published a draft. If you ever wanted to know what Wikipedia articles look like before they're uploaded, they look a lot like a corrupted 1990's website. Take a look.
