epocalypse edit

Well someone got it first so I'm Epocalypse2.

So I got the name from corrupting the title of the Best of Hawkwind album, EpochEclipse. Little did I know that the term epocalypse has a fair old presence on the old interweb, but my livejournal now comes up 5th on a search on google, kewl.

who is he? edit

I'm a 38 year old male living in the Scottish Borders. I work as a paramedic in South East Scotland but have previous lives as a soldier, a waiter and a student (as well as a few more short term jobs). My degrees were in Biological Sciences and Hospitality Management, bizarre but they were separated by seven years. I've got a list of other professional qualifications and memberships but very few apply to my current life and interests.

Interests edit

My job actually stimulates my interest but I doubt I'll get involved in editing any pre-hospital care entries. So what really moves me.

Traveller (role-playing game)
- I've played this for years in loads of incarnations. I love it. When I got rid of my games collection I kept all my Traveller and GDW products.
Warhammer Fantasy Roleplaying
- I sold my original for silly money on e-Bay but now have loads of 2nd edition stuff. Inspiring.
Apple Macs
- 3 years ago my darling wife persuaded me to make the switch and I've never looked back. I don't miss the games (which clogged) up my PC hard drive and I love the OSX's flexibility and stability. Now I have two iBooks, a powerbook and an eMac and am on the lookout for bargains.
World of Warcraft
- great fun, I like lots.
Rugby
- natch, I live in the Borders. Union or League, they both work for me.
