Good Morning Everyone!
I am Riku, obviously a nickname, since I am 100% Dutch. I am currently 22 years old and I have a dozen of siblings (4 of them). While my favourite activities are sleeping and watching numerous drama series, I spend most of my time translating various media JP-EN. Once in a while I spend some time on University And yes, sometimes this kind of life really drives me crazy, just like a lot of other things. Luckily I own some CD's of some awesome artists, and if I listen to those for a few hours, I'll calm down for sure. In case anyone is interested, I don't have any dreams for the future, I am just screwing around. What'll happen after I graduate I something I don't care about yet! The world is going to hell anyways.
Well, I am not too sure what I should be writing here any more at the moment... Enjoy your day!
School
editEven though this might be a boring subject, it's probably the only subject I am really into at the moment. Especially since I aim to graduate from University this year. (I said that too last year)
After attending the local Elementary school, I started at our local Middle School to move on to the High school in the same building. (In the Netherlands we actually don't differentiate between Middle and High school.) In 2008 I graduated from High school, after finishing my Final Project called "A cat for 5 Days" (a children's book telling about the difference between Wild and Domestic Cats). Eventually it got a top 5 rating among all projects done that year. In the same year I started at Leiden University, with a major in Japanese Languages and Cultures. Still trying to finish up my third year right now. Since I failed one of the courses of my minor last year, I had to stick around a bit longer. My second minor is going well for now. I'm mainly focused at sociological processes in Japan, but I also did focus course on the Art and Religions of Japan. Therefore, I wrote my Bachelor Thesis on "the representation of Young Japanese Homosexuals in Japanese Movies". If everything works out, I'll be graduating upcoming September and receive a Bachelor of Arts.
