William Bartley Smith (19-2009) was a Moral Theologian, Seminary professor, and Roman Catholic Priest of the Archdiocese of New York. His area of expertise was ethics, and especially the moral philosophy of St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas.

After obtaining a S.T.D. at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., Smith went on to teach at Saint Joseph's Seminary in Yonkers, N.Y. from 1971 to 2009.
