Hello :)

I'm pretty new here, am looking forward to being of some use I hope.

I live in the UK and I'm a recent graduate from the University of Southampton, where I studied Mathematics and Astronomy.

I'm hoping to contribute to some articles on current events in astronomy, but I'm also a big fan of the celeb world, and am equally at home studying group theory or Girls Aloud. Am hoping I might be able to give some constructive (?!) input here.

Take care all

Hi Elastigirl, this is Michael... Mmcannis, in Arizona, USA. I finally got King, Pharaoh "Piankhi"'s name correct. Apparently there was an earlier High Priest type called "Piankh",too. Anyway, Piye, 752 to 721 BC, ( who used to be called "Piankhi" ), went to the Nile Delta to do war, then returned (to the South, Kush) for his " Victory Stela " writings, a long, long autobiography. it does mention the night time eclipse of the moon. ( The page Tefnakhte speaks of the year of his Stele, (Year 20 of Piye) .)... So 752 (- 20 years) is about 732 BC (The eclipse then occurred before the Stele of 732) for the year of the Stele.(In proofreading i see the time is prior to 732) I'll add this info to the Talk:Lunar eclipse page. Enjoy,  :) Michael McAnnis,YumaAZ....Mmcannis 03:48, 30 October 2005 (UTC)
