This is the user page for Elan Justice Pavlinich at the University of South Florida. He is a scholar, with interests in feminist and queer approaches to medieval English literature, and an activist, with interests in -- y'know -- not being oppressed.

Main Project:
My goal is to enhance my own understanding of Transgender activism, but also--and more importantly--I believe that this topic requires greater cultural awareness. Helping to codify the history facilitates my participation in activism by honoring the people and the knowledge that comprise trans culture. The problem, however, is the matter of speaking for others. So while I work on this project I do so with the understanding that I am merely enhancing the stub page and promoting further additions for a more comprehensive entry on Transgender activism.
