BROWNSVILLE BRED Brownsville Bred is a Latina's Coming of Age story set in 1980's Brownsville, Brooklyn Projects. Nominated in 2010 by the LA Theatre Review for Outstanding Contribution to Los Angeles theatre in a Solo Performance. The autobiographical show takes the audience through an “emotional rollercoaster” that is uplifting, heartbreaking and powerful as they witness Del Valle recreate life in the tough projects of 1980’s Brownsville, Brooklyn NY. Elaine Del Valle is a long time student of the legendary Wynn Handman. [1] Elaine Del Valle has been recognized for her volunteerism. Along with penning many award winning grants, Del Valle is also the founder and co-chair of THE MANSION RIDE FOR AUTISM, an annual cycling event which began in 2002 and raises funds for Autism charity. MANSION RIDEDel Valle's event hosts over 1000 cyclists annually and was named in the "TOP 35 Best and Most Interesting Charity Rides in the Country" (Bicycling Magazine June 2009).
