I am a former newspaper editor and reporter (17 years daily newspapers) and a long-time lover of encyclopedias. I can't say how many times I've used/learned from Wikipedia. I have begun doing some minor editing so that I can contribute something back.
Disclaimer: I work for Hewlett-Packard at HP Labs, and have occasionally edited or expanded content relating to HP research. My intention is accuracy and information, not promotion. I have made a point of linking to sources other than the HP Labs web site and I have avoided statements that are not purely factual. If I have accidentally stepped beyond the bounds in any instance, please let me know so that I can do a better job in the future.
My plan is to expand my contributions to cover other areas of Wikipedia as I become more familiar with the process.
