Grace Welch is the founder and CEO of Patemm Inc. Patemm was founded in 2004 and makes round diaper changing pads.[1] The pads are made from natural and organic materials and manufactured in San Francisco at the Patemm facility.[2] Welch invented the pads after watching her children repeatedly squirm off traditional pads.[3] Welch named the company after her first two children, Patrick and Emma.

Before launching Patemm, Welch worked for 6 years at rmw architecture + design in San Francisco.

Welch received a degree in Latin American Studies/Cultural Anthropology from New York University before moving to San Francisco to begin a career.[4] Welch and Patemm Pads have been featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show,[5] The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch, The Today Show, The View and in many other television shows, newspapers and magazines.[6]


Welch is married with four children and lives in San Francisco.
