Beside my work on an immunological laboratory in Amsterdam, The Netherlands one of my hobbies is to photograph spiders. It started long ago (1976) while doing research on wasp venom, its components and what proteins in it causes allergic reactions. Having just bought a Pentax ME with a macro lens I started hunting wasps. But wasps and most other insect fly away when you approach them. Spiders, on the contrary, need some patients. Just sit doen for a minute and they come out of their retreat or behind the leaf where they were hiding after they spotted you. a holiday in australia made the hobby complete and the result is a spider site with an European section and a Australian section. The main entry is here: www.xs4all.nl/~ednieuw.

At the moment I use a Konica Minolta Dynax 7D unit that is described here.
