The name penned onto my birth certificate is Guy A. Duperreault.

I was born in 1961, and so am neither a baby boomer nor a gen-xer. (See the Globe and Mail style columnist and social commentator Karen von Hahn's of excellent discussion about those of us born between the boomers and x-ers. She described these not quite fits as being a shadow generation, the gen-shadow. We are too small and insignficant in the world to be so designated except by ourselves.)

I have lived in Canada all my life, the last 30 years of it in the greater Vancouver area.

I have a basket weaving - er, I mean a General Studies degree from Simon Fraser University, with an extended minor in economics. I have supplemented that failed education with 3/4 of a degree in English, that particularly delightful and 'dance-able' language. My schooling spanned almost 20 years, with much of it having been completed as a part time student via night classes and by distance ed while working full time.

I have been and will continue to be an eclectic editor/contributor, as that seems to suits both the nature of my nature, interests, and the watercourse way of my education.
