Bah Halilou, leather worker Halilou also known as Ousmamou, Bah Ousmanou or Bah Halilou came from Maroua, Cameroon. He was of Guiziga ethnicity. He died 15 August 1968. [1]

He was a well known leather goods worker in Maroua. He worked as translator for the Maroua Craft Centre 1955-1960 and was instrumental in their development of leather rugs. In 1962 he was part of the Cameroonian delegation at the International Craft Fair at Munich

In 13 March 1957 he was made "Chevalier dans l’Ordre du mérite Artisanal" Later he received the 'Ordre du Mérite Camerounais de 2è classe'. Investitute 1 Oct 1963
