Tobias Harris on November 16, 2016 he was the recipient of the NBA Community Service Award. Tobias created the "Tobias Harris School of Mentoring Program". He also partnered with, "Yes We Can Community Center and UAS Inc.". He did that so he could help athletes and their parents with the recruiting and scholarship process. Harris also donated $10,000 to "Feeding Children Everywhere", it's a social charity that helps prepare food for hungry children. [1] Harris won this award again in October of 2021. Harris has a campaign named the "Tobias Lit Labs", it brings books and authors to families and schools. Harris also partnered with "Read by 4th", to have a block party in North Philadelphia. Harris also contributed more than 2 million dollars through his "Tobias Harris Charitable Fund", to classroom supplies and to support professional development for educators and students. Harris donated $10,000 to the "Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation", which will provide grants for scholarships, community projects, and after school programs. [2] Another topic Tobias feels very heavily about is his love for Christ. In 2015 in an interview with "Razz and Jazz Sports", Tobias stated, "Any person I meet, I try to embrace them and show them love so that they know I'm a Christian, Jesus Christ was a loving man. And as Christians, we have to try to model our lives after Jesus Christ". In addition to that Tobias donated another 1 million dollars to nine different charities to the Philadelphia area. [3] On July 6, 2019 Harris signed a deal with the Philadelphia 76ers for a 5 year 180 million dollar deal. Over his 12 year career Tobias is estimated to have made around $209,233,355.[4] Harris has many off the court endorsments including Nike, Off-White Damari Savile and OVADIA & SONS and more. Tobias is big into working out and staying healthy so he is in the best shape at all times. Harris said, "I am a workout guy. I like it all. It gives me an advantage, and I like to put in a lot of extra work". Tobias does a lot of squats, and a lot of other lower body exercises. For his upper body he likes to bench press and does some powerlifting etc. His diet is also another important thing too him. He likes fruits and vegetables and chicken and turkey and sometimes red meat. "I'm a plant based type of guy and I eat very well. I think that's one of the biggest things when it comes to changing the body and gaining strength- putting the right foods in your body."- Tobias Harris. [5]
