An avid golfer who in 2005 won tournaments on the International level when he won the Abu Dhabi Golf and Equestrian Clubs "B Division" 2005 Mens Championship and later that same year the Smoky Lake Golf Clubs "B Division" 2005 Mens Championship in Alberta, Canada. While working in New Zealand in 2006 he finished in the top 11% of golfers in the New Zealand Golf Assciations national ranking.
