Okay, so recently it was pointed out to me that "88" is a code used by neo-Nazis and it means Heil Hitler (H being the 8th letter of the alphabet). I honestly had no idea; the 88 in my username stands for 1988, my birth year. Now, I have absolutely no intention of changing it to "1988", as somebody else instructed me to do.
This "incident" is evidence that censorship is slowly but surely becoming part of the wikipedia community, and if this continues, it will be the cause of its demise. Censorship must stop. Everyone should have the right to express their opinions, no matter what these might be. This whole "change your nickname because it might offend people" thing is fucking ridiculous.
